Painters Law LLP are supporting the Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust to make a difference to families affected by childhood cancer.
This is the second year we are supporting the charity, and we cannot wait to share the events and initiatives we are involved in for 2024.
This year as part of our fundraising, we are supporting Hunnie Morris a local teenager. As a local business as soon as we heard about Hunnie’s story, we knew we had to do all we could to support her and her family through this difficult time.
Please help by showing your support by sponsoring our events throughout this year on this page, and read below to find out more from Hunnie in her own words…
Hi, I’m Hunnie, this is my story.
I was first diagnosed in December 2017 with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, I was 8 years old. I battled for 2 ½ years with a lot of chemotherapy which was hard going. I missed school and going out with my friends, but I won in the end and rang the end of treatment bell in 2020. I couldn’t celebrate though as it was lockdown, I couldn’t have my party or even go on a family holiday.
So nearly three years later, just before my 14th Birthday I didn’t feel too good, so I had a blood test which confirmed the leukaemia had come back. My world fell apart once again, and I am now again halfway through the 2 ½ years treatment again. Mom and I spent a long time in Birmingham Children’s Hospital at first but now we visit Worcester which is where I met Grace Kelly. They have been so supportive and helpful to me and my family through this really tough time.
Even though I am still currently having treatment I ran the Worcester 10k in September this year and recently featured on the Global make some noise campaign to help raise money and awareness for the Trust. It would be great if you could support Painters Law to raise as much money as they can to support Grace Kelly and the amazing work they do.
Love Hunnie x
