My Story

Jen and Emma are going to be climbing Mount Snowdon with Amanda Holden

A note from Jen:

Well, it seems that I appear to be doing another rather unwise challenge....

When Emma applied for the charity to receive some grant funding from Global's Make Some Noise, little did we know that it would result in us scaling Snowden,  the highest mountain in England and Wales with Amanda Holden!

When we were asked to do the challenge a couple of weeks ago, my immediate response was no thanks, but it appears that Emma can be rather persuasive!

So on the 6th October, as part of the Global's Make Some Noise challenge I will be making my way up Snowdon.

For all those who know me, they will be aware that with only a few weeks' notice to train, this really is a big challenge for me to get up that mountain. Climbing with a metabolic bone disorder and arthritis in numerous joints, the climb is not going to be easy, but I will be making it to the top with a photo of my beautiful girl with me.

Grace is the inspiration behind all that we do.

For Grace and all the children taken too soon, and for all those currently fighting.

Some words from Emma:

I’ve always wanted to trek to the summit of Snowdon, it has been on my bucket list for a while.

I’m extremely proud and excited to be part of this amazing opportunity as part of the Global’s Make Some Noise 2022 challenge with Amanda Holden and the other charities taking part.

Not only is this a huge achievement for the Trust but also from a personal point of view the challenge to me is not going to be easy (not exactly super fit!) but with the help of Jen and Sam who are doing it with me along with the other charities involved I will get up that mountain!

And of course, the main reason for doing this is to honour the legacy beautiful Grace left behind and to try and raise a few pennies which can be put straight back into the vital services the Trust provides.

Doing it for Grace 🧡💜🐞
